Common questions

Are Locked Albums backed up?

No. Locked Albums are stored only on your device and are deliberately excluded from iCloud, which is what keeps them private. This means they are not backed up: if you delete Snapra, erase your device, or switch to a new one, photos in Locked Albums cannot be recovered. Keep a separate copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

What does the "iCloud Not Connected" banner mean?

It means iCloud Drive is unavailable or you are not signed in, so photos are being saved to this device only and will not sync. Check that you are signed in to iCloud and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings.

Why does the app ask for location access?

Location is used only for GPS Tagging, which writes coordinates into a photo's EXIF metadata so you can find the spot again later. The feature is optional — declining location access leaves everything else working normally.

Does GPS data get shared?

Not by us. Coordinates are stored inside the photo file itself. If you later share that photo with someone, the location may travel with it, so consider that before sharing.

My Apple Watch won't connect

Make sure the Snapra Watch app is installed, that your Watch and iPhone are paired and within range, and that Bluetooth is on. Opening the app on both devices will usually re-establish the connection.

How do I restore my purchase?

Use the restore option inside the app while signed in with the Apple ID used to buy Snapra Pro. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so there is no need to buy again on a new device.
